Nursery Collect Autumn Treasures
It was wonderful to begin the week, with the children's Mummies and Daddies coming into class to help kickstart our Autumn week.
After reading the story 'Fox's Favourite Autumn', the children and their family members used Autumn treasures that they had collected over the weekend, to create a beautiful Autumnal tree collage. We discussed the various colours found in Autumn and looked closely at all the different nuts and berries that grow.
The children have enjoyed using these in their creative work, squashing and painting with the berries and rolling and transporting conkers.
We have also been hunting for leaves around the ground, we found many different shapes, colours and sizes and used them to practice our counting, sorting, and matching.
At the end of the week, we found out about hedgehogs. We used playdough and pasta to make a hedgehog and then used our leaf collection to make a cosy bed for them.
