Pre-School Create Models

Pre-School have been continuing with their learning theme of ‘Let’s Celebrate’ and this week we have been celebrating our families.

We have shared the story of Guess How Much I Love You and used a story map to retell it in our own words using story language. Everyone enjoyed drawing a portrait of their own families and talking about who they love.

We have been busy making wonderful models and creations using a range of materials; we have explored different ways of joining pieces together. Continuing with being creative, we are learning our Nativity songs, actions and movements in preparation for sharing the wonderful Wriggly Nativity very soon. Everyone has had a sticker in their journal this week to share the character they will be playing and the costume they need, please let us know if you have any questions.

We have been doing lots of counting and number recognition- we have been talking about one more and counting on from a given number. Using small objects, we have made collections to match a number and touch counted to check the amount.
