Reception Paint Imaginative Aliens

Our space theme has continued this week with the children creating some fantastic alien paintings and then using adjectives to describe their appearance, we had lots of googlie eyes and spikey ears!

In Literacy, we have been developing our story language using a story map of ‘Whatever Next’ and then applying this when retelling from our own story boards. In number work, we have been partitioning numbers to ten, sharing our alien cakes to consolidate our number bonds and applying our knowledge by making colourful paper chains to show the parts of each number. It has been a wonderful week and we can’t wait to see what adventures await after the weekend!
