Reception Make A Splash This Week
Pumpkins aplenty in the Reception classrooms this week as we developed our motor skills using various squashes, hammers, golf tees and Autumn leaves!
Wednesday was filled with outdoor fun, despite the wet weather. In the morning, we enjoyed a campfire in Forest School with hot chocolate, toasted apples and apple juice making, followed by a big puddle splashing walk in the afternoon. Soggy socks and big smiles are the best way to spend a day! We have read a beautiful book called ‘Apple Cake’ this week and the children have thought and written about what they are thankful for. Friday morning was filled with ‘Apple Day’ excitement and the children enjoyed taking part in activities that exercised their brains and their taste buds! A wonderful Autumnal week to finish this half of term.
