Nursery Taste A Rainbow

This week in Nursery we have been focusing on senses.

Reading books from the 'that's not my' series, the children have been investigating a variety of textures. They learnt lots of new language whilst discovering materials in the magical sensory box. They then used their new knowledge to create squirrels and hedgehogs, thinking carefully about their chosen texture.

We have also been using our eyes to hunt for coloured objects to create a large rainbow, and our ears to identify different animals as well as using our sense of smell to create some potions in the Nursery kitchen tray.

Towards the end of the week, the children 'tasted the rainbow', we looked at a range of colourful fruits and vegetables, discussing likes and dislikes and then used some of them for painting.
