A Busy but Immensely Fun Week for Year 1

Can cows type on a typewriter? Do hens need electric blankets?

Year 1 loved the story of ‘Click clack moo, cows that type’. The children designed a new pond for the ducks and wrote labels for the slides, diving boards and boats. They also wrote letters to the ducks from Farmer Brown. In maths, we worked on numbers and place value, ordering, counting and writing our numbers beautifully in squared books!

Our first week has been so busy as we went out for Forest School, painted beautiful sunflowers and went off to our first games lesson with the games teachers!
