Year 1 Write a Tinga Tale

In Year 1 we have been reading Tingatinga tales and had a brilliant English lesson innovating our own Tinga tale.

The children created “How Porcupine got his quills”, “How Dolphin lost his legs”, “Why Giraffe got a black tongue” and “How Zebra got his stripes” to name but a few! The children planned their fabulous stories using story mountains and shared their tales with their friends.

In maths, we learnt more about telling the time and practised subtraction using our bridging skills.

The highlight of the week was perhaps our space-themed Review. The children learnt their lines, danced and sang with passion and enthusiasm and were shining stars! They performed amazingly and made their teachers so proud!
