Balloons and Blast Off for our Year 1 Class This Week

“Here come the children!”

It was so lovely to see all their happy faces back at school and ready to learn. We “blasted off” with our first space-themed book “Here Come the Aliens” by Colin Mc Naughton and thought all of the aliens were hilarious. After describing aliens, we took our class photo which would be enough to scare off any alien invasion!

In maths, we have been working on memorising pairs of numbers that make 10 or 20 and writing accurate number sentences. Our science lesson involved brainstorming and research as we began our journey to discover and learn more about SPACE!
