The Great Fire of London Created A Very Warm Welcome Back for Year 2

Welcome Back Year 2!

Year 2 were feeling the cold this week even with all their layers on. So, their teachers kindly sparked our curiosity when immersing us in the flames of 1666 using our classroom interactive whiteboard that helped us all imagine what eyewitnesses would have experienced in London during the Great Fire. It helped the children create wonderfully detailed descriptive writing all about the fire and its causes. This historical event has got the children fired up and ready for an exciting term ahead and they are eager to find out more about this pivotal event in the history of our capital city.
