Smiles all around in Pre-Prep
Say cheese!
There have been smiles all around this week; not only for our school photos but throughout the school week. It is a treat for me to teach across the whole of the Pre-Prep, seeing the children’s enjoyment of the school day. From singing our Harvest songs in the theatre with Nursery, immersing ourselves in fairytale characters with Reception, going on a technology hunt with Year 1 and seeing Year 2’s beautiful artwork – the Pre-Prep is a very happy place to be! It is also very special to celebrate children’s achievements across the Pre-Prep in our weekly Celebration Assembly, where an individual from each class receives a certificate for going above and beyond in an area linked to our School Values and Golden Rules. Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week!
As mentioned, our Harvest festival will take place on Wednesday 4 October. A separate letter has been sent out with a link to follow if you wish to attend as tickets are limited to two per family to ensure every child has someone in the audience. Do come along and enjoy a coffee and a pastry before heading to the theatre for our Harvest celebration – you are in for a treat!
Please can we ask that any children with a high temperature and unwell be kept at home until they are completely recovered and fit for school. This is to avoid the unnecessary spread of infection as we enter the winter months. Parents of children who present unwell during the school day will be asked to collect them. It has been our experience in the past that children who return to school too early often take longer to fully recover, and your help with this is hugely appreciated.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
