Reception conclude 'it must have been goldilocks'
The Reception children had a mystery to solve this week as they arrived in the classroom to find that ‘someone’ had made a complete mess of the Three Bears house!
Chairs were broken, porridge was spilled, and poor Daddy Bear was looking distraught. We concluded that it must have been Goldilocks, so the children set about writing some signs to deter her from returning. On Thursday, the delicious aroma of porridge could be smelled emanating from the classroom and the children tried a variety of toppings; honey was a clear favourite, but banana and raisins went down very well too. In the forest, the children used clay to make bear paw prints and then followed an oat trail to find naughty Goldilocks. In our number work this week we have been looking at the order of numbers and counting with one-to-one correspondence. It has been the most wonderful week and we cannot wait to find out what next week will bring!
