Discovering storyboards in Year 1 this week

Trip, trap, trip, trap, who’s that retelling amazing stories?

It’s Year 1 enjoying their new story “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” using actions and storyboards to retell this traditional tale. We also described the disgusting troll and wrote captions for the cute goats! In art, we made troll masks, yuck!

We developed our estimating and counting skills in maths and worked on ordering numbers accurately on number lines before moving on to partitioning numbers into 10s and 1’s.

We think our bodies are amazing and talked about all the different things they can do, learning to label simple pictures in Science. But we didn’t stop there as in Geography we learnt about a bird’s eye view and how to draw a simple map!
