Planning the best day ever in Reception
It has been a week of both celebration and reflection in the Reception class with incredible sporting achievements recognised, and the children receiving awards for their endeavours in prize giving.
It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of this academic year and as a class, we have been looking back at all of the things we have enjoyed. Time has been a focus for our maths lessons this week and the children had a fantastic time planning their ‘Best Day Ever!’ Their wonderful imaginations had them riding on unicorns before breakfast, consuming marshmallows for lunch, and then playing in tree houses with a T-Rex in the afternoon! Later in the week, we looked at fractions, making half and quarter pancakes with honey, blueberries and mini marshmallows – both informative and delicious! It has been a fantastic week for all.
