Pebbles and Seeds for Year 2 This Week
The rain didn’t dampen our spirits this week in fact it inspired to create some beautiful sea creatures. The children have used acrylic paint to carefully make sea urchins from pebbles.
We also managed to frighten off the Enormous Crocodile by writing some exciting conversations between the different characters in the story. Using speech marks was essential and a chant of sixty-six and ninety-nine could be heard around the classroom as they enjoyed using this punctuation.
All this wet weather will also be useful for the gardens we created using our vast knowledge of how plants grow, we also tried to use sustainable materials in our designs and finally we put in some grass seed. We are all excited to see how our beautiful gardens grow in the next couple of weeks!
