Year 4 Visit The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter
Year 4 have travelled to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter for an interesting day discovering all about the Ancient Egyptians.
The children had the opportunity to handle artefacts and go on a tour around the museum to find African animals. We loved stepping back in time and playing the Ancient Egyptian game of ‘senet’ which we are looking forward to recreating in the playground back at school. The highlight of the day was carrying out the mummification process, hooking out the brain and pulling out the internal organs - luckily, it wasn’t a real body!
We are looking forward to continuing our learning all about the Ancient Egyptians this term.
