Amazingly Creative Ideas Fit For Any Sunny Beach in Year 2
A new creature appeared this week - he is enormous, has teeth as sharp as knives and lives in the deepest, muddiest river in Africa!
We have delved into the world of Roald Dahl and met the Enormous Crocodile whose frolics in the jungle were not tolerated by the other animals who lived there. The children have enjoyed using their creative talents to write about these fun and courageous characters.
The highlight of week was a visit from Mr Stok. We all enjoyed discovering more about the history of the seaside and saw hats from across the ages - my goodness how fashion has changed! The children wore hats and sunglasses and found out the reason we had different designs to protect ourselves from the sun’s rays. Who knew the Victorians had sun cream? It did contain lead so maybe it would have been better to suffer the sunshine! The children designed their own eyewear with amazingly creative ideas fit for any sunny beach.
