Reception enjoy a lovely Spring walk

This week the children in Reception went on a Spring Walk around our Hazlegrove woods.

They were able to spot some snowdrops and daffodils in their different stages of growth. After discovering some spring flowers, Reception felt inspired and went back to class to do some planting of their own. The children had the opportunity to plant their very own sunflower seeds which they will be keeping a close eye on over the next few weeks. I wonder whose will be the tallest… Reception also had fun planting seeds to create grass heads. The children cannot wait to see them grow some very funky, green grass hair!

To finish the week, we had our very exciting World Book Day where all the children dressed up as their favourite book character. An eventful week filled with lots of laughter!
