Reception Has Been Helping Traction Man Find Wreck Of The Sieve!
Reception has been swimming through the foamy waters of the sink this week, helping Traction Man to find the Lost Wreck of the Sieve!
Through drama and hands-on experiences they have described characters and setting and have finished off the week by writing their very own adventure story! In Art, we have been creating our very own ‘Scrubbing Brush’ characters using clay. The children have learned how to shape and smooth the clay and have used tools to form mouths and eyes. In our maths we have focussed on learning our number bonds to 10, challenging ourselves by solving missing number problems and creating bonds with our friends in Superhero poses. During Forest school the children built a hide and observed the many birds we have visiting our woodland, the children spotted a woodpecker, blackbirds and sparrows. They listened to bird song and scattered grains on the frozen ground to help the birds through these chilly days.
