A Fun-Packed Week Full Of Winter-Themed Activities For Nursery
This week, the Dragonflies looked at the story 'Poles Apart'. The children discussed what they noticed in the story and what they thought was happening, as the main characters travelled through the story and through different countries.
The Ladybirds looked at signs of Winter through the story 'Winter'. Both Dragonflies and Ladybirds engaged in winter-themed Maths activities. Some children followed instructions to make sparkly snow cloud dough, whilst others estimated how many objects were hiding in ice and added two lots of Winter themed objects together.
The Butterflies discovered poor old Stickman frozen in the ice. They worked together to rescue him, discovering a variety of ways to melt the ice. Some used tools whilst others found warm water worked well! They have also been busy making ukuleles using old junk!
