Year 2 Travel Back In Time To The Great Fire of London!
Snow has been falling all around us this week, but luckily our brains have been fired up by the burning heat of the Great Fire of London.
We have enjoyed looking at the life of Samuel Pepys. His eyewitness account (written in code) has taught us about the many different effects the fire had on the population of London. We may have even tried a wig or two to recreate the famous diarist portrait. Whilst looking at materials in science, we have enjoyed testing the properties of many household objects and embracing the fresh air to collect rubbings of different building materials around the School, comparing this with our knowledge of architecture from the past.
