A Fun-Packed Week for Nursery
This week the Ladybirds and Butterflies have been looking at the story 'Vicky the very silly vet'.
The children were very lucky to visit Mrs Benbow's rabbit, Moose. She told us all about Moose's favourite foods and the children very carefully fed some lettuce to her. In the classroom the children have been sharing photos of their family pets, providing information about their pet's favourite things and talking about how they look after them. The Dragonflies have been looking at the story 'No Dragons for Tea'. The Dragon in this story is not scary, he is so friendly that the little girl in the story invites him home for tea. However, as they are having an afternoon snack the Dragon sneezes and sets the table ablaze. Luckily, the girl knows just what to do, and she teaches her new friend to be fire smart. Using the information from the story the children created a wonderful 'Fire Safety' poster. Later on in the week, we did some mini first aid. The children were given some first aid scenarios, where they had to use items from a first aid box to help their friend in need.
