Year 2 Build on Their Knowledge of Bonds
Our creative juices have been flowing this week as we delved even deeper into our Katie Morag topic
Maps were created about our own imaginary island using our knowledge of human and physical features. Airports, harbours and jetties were drawn so that people could get on and off the island. A variety of jobs from mushroom farming and holiday shops covered our Year 2 islands. The creativity didn’t end there! Using our knowledge of adjectives and verbs we wrote descriptive paragraphs about scenes from the stories. Our teachers loved reading them and we shared some with our friends. We have also been sharing our knowledge of our bonds to extend and develop our maths strategies this week. The wonderful number bonds knowledge we have from Year 1 has really helped us develop our maths skills with confidence this week.
