Year 2 Start Their Week on a High With Their Brilliant Cycling
Our first full week at school has been busy and we have enjoyed being out in the sunshine.
We all loved our Tuesday morning bike rides and felt energised and full of vigour ready for writing stories, gathering information and creating T-shirts. Our wolf topic is nearly at an end so we decided as a year group that we would publish a non-fiction book about wolves. The children gathered a wealth of information that they wanted to record in their books and drew appropriate illustrations to go with their work. We have been able to use our school woods to explore the habitats of different creatures, searching for the wildlife out there. We discussed the needs of these environments to have the right conditions for plants and animals to thrive and survive. We have now all created our t-shirts that we have designed and cannot wait to wear them when we perform in our Year 2 review in a few weeks. As we progress through our last term, we have started to think about our minds and bodies, supporting ourselves to have resilience, perseverance and understanding of all that our body and mind need.
