Year 2 Catch up on their Holiday Adventures
A short week back has been filled full of stories of holiday adventures and fun. The children have enjoyed seeing friends again and playing in the playground! Let’s hope the sun continues to shine and make us all bask in its radiance.
We have examined seeds very closely in our science lessons with the help of a handheld microscope. This instrument also helped us record and photograph the different seeds we examined. The microscope also gave us a detailed view of the seeds and we were able to create line drawings using ink. We also read a story by Emily Gravett called Wolves. The children loved the creative way the author mixed fiction and non-fiction in her story. They also understood the humour in the story and were very keen to write their own ending. A great start to the term.
