Reception Have Discovered an 'Odd Egg'!
It has been an egg-citing week in Reception as the children found some rather unusual looking eggs in the tuff tray on Monday morning.
Who could they belong to? What clues could we find? The children used their wonderful imaginations when drawing pictures and writing descriptive sentences of what they thought might emerge. The ‘Odd Egg’ by Emily Gravett inspired us to think of which animals laid eggs and whether a crocodile would be a suitable pet to have in the house...hmmm?
We had an egg-stremely busy Eggstravaganza day on Wednesday and the children really impressed me with their fantastic ideas for decorating their eggs. We also held an in-class egg rolling competition and Easter Egg hunt in our beautiful grounds amongst the Spring flowers. Wishing you all a very restful (and hopefully sunny) Easter break and I look forward to welcoming you and your children back for the Summer term.
