Year 1 have been investigating story language

Year 1 are loving their new story, “The Little Red Hen”.

They have been describing characters and settings as well as retelling the story using their amazing story language and their puppets.

Thanks to the help of our Mummies and Daddies, we have made some gorgeous windmills and fabulous “hen-prints” with our hands. In maths, we have been continuing to add numbers and writing accurate number sentences as well as finding different ways to make 5 and 10. In Science we continued investigating animals and how they are different, classifying, comparing and recording these differences. In our Jigsaw PSE lessons, we have been thinking about our responsibilities and understanding what consequences are.
