Parents took a seat in Pre-Prep classrooms this week
We kick started the week by welcoming our Year 1 and 2 parents into school. It was wonderful to see so many of you able to join your child in class, sharing some learning together and spending time in their learning environment.
Next week, we look forward to welcoming all parents into school for Parents’ Meetings with your child’s class teacher. If you have not yet booked a time, please contact Mrs Bowes or your child’s teacher to do so.
On Monday, Reception visited Highfield House where they enjoyed performing songs, as well as sharing colouring together and having conversations with the residents. We feel so lucky to be able to have these opportunities to visit people in our community and develop the children’s sense of respect and care beyond the cattle grid. Thank you to the staff and residents of Highfield House for letting us visit and welcoming us so warmly.
Next Monday, Years 1 and 2 will join the Prep School for a special assembly by the Rotary Club, who are running a campaign to raise awareness about the Polio vaccine and funding for the vaccine programme for third-world countries. As part of this, they are giving out crocus bulbs to children to plant at their school and spark discussion. Nursery and Reception will plant their bulbs in their flower beds but if anyone has any large, sturdy planters/plant pots that they no longer use, we would be very grateful for any donations for Year 1 and 2 to plant their bulbs in and place around the Pre-Prep playground.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Best wishes,
Hannah
