The Sunshine Has Helped Our Miniature Gardens Grow in Year 2

Pre-Prep PrePrep

The sun brought a lot of smiles to the classroom this week and as the smell of suntan lotion wafted through the air, we were able to enjoy the summer sun.

The sunshine has also helped our miniature gardens grow and we have been able to examine our sunflower seeds that we planted a few weeks ago. Everyone was amazed that the plants with no sunlight managed to grow but there was a considerable difference in the appearance of the plants. The ones without sunlight had failed to turn green. The process of photosynthesis in which green plants use sunlight to make their own food had obviously not happened. Meanwhile, the dastardly Twits have been banished as they got their just deserts at the end of their story, luckily, we had already written to the RSPCA to help the poor creatures in his garden-Mr Maxwell, the RSPCA inspector was very impressed by the detailed letters full of relevant information.
