Its Been an 'Egg-citing' week For Pre-Prep, Read Miss Strugnell's Round Up Of The Week!
Last Monday was the astronomical Spring Equinox, when the day and night were around the same length, as evident in the word's origin derived from the Latin equi (meaning 'equal') and nox (meaning 'night').
This day marked the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and has a special significance for many people. For some, it represents light over dark, life over death, for others in the northern hemisphere, the March equinox is traditionally celebrated as a time of rebirth with many different cultures celebrating spring holidays and festivals, such as Easter and Passover, around this time. On Wednesday we had a very egg-citing day for our Eggstravaganza with lots of egg activities and decorating to round of a fun-packed term.
We are very proud of everything your children have achieved this term and wish you all a wonderful springtime holiday!
With very best wishes,
Hannah Strugnell
