Year 3 Had a Great Trip to Corfe Castle
Year 3 enjoyed the most brilliant day at Corfe Castle on Friday. We were blessed with sunny weather and made the very most of every moment!
Our wonderful guide Caroline shared stories of hard-working servant girls, demanding Kings and quick-witted Queens. We learned how incredibly difficult it was to attack the castle and the ingenious and gruesome ways that invaders were kept out! Caroline reminded us of the wicked Prince John and how tough life was for so many in Medieval times.
We enjoyed our first picnic of the year in the sunshine, surrounded by a thousand years of British history.
Well done to all the Year 3 children who listened and behaved impeccably. We were all so impressed and proud of your excellent ideas and questions!
