Year 2 become Journalists and Report On 'The Great Fire of London'
Year 2 have been busy in the newsroom this week whilst preparing their newspaper articles which have reported key information to the residents of London as the great fire continues to rage on.
We have been using our knowledge of the events that occurred during September 1666 to help us write chronological and factual reports using eyewitness quotes. The heat hasn’t just been confined to the great fire; the warm climate of Mexico has also warmed our hearts as we have created a collage of Tocuaro village, whilst looking at the importance of maps and the keys that help us read them. Tuning our musical skills has also been an exciting part of our week as we have enjoyed learning new notes and experimenting with rhythms on our keyboards and violins in Music.
