Nursery Put On An Excellent Nativity

This week in Nursery, it has been feeling very Christmassy.

The Dragonflies looked at the story 'The Owl who Came for Christmas'. This is based on a true story of a little owl found in a Christmas tree in America. The children thought about themselves as Rosie the owl and how they might have felt throughout the story. The Butterflies have been looking at 'We're going on a present hunt'. The children picked up the story very quickly, joining in with repeated refrains and coming up with their own sounds and actions for each page. The Ladybird's read 'We're going on a sleigh ride'. They thought about what present they'd love to receive from Father Christmas this year. All the children have been busy creating an array of Christmas crafts for their special people at home. On Wednesday and Thursday, the children performed 'Our Christmas Story' to packed out audiences. They did us all proud and sang beautifully. Thank you to everyone who came to watch!
