Reception Trip to Lyme Regis
The Reception class enjoyed a visit to Lyme Regis as part of their seaside topic.
Despite the slight chill in the air the children walked along the seafront and down the Cobb. They visited the aquarium on the harbour wall and saw a range of sea life including, crabs, lobster, starfish and sea urchins. The children were allowed to hold the starfish and had their photograph taken with a very large crab and lobster.
On the way back to the beach the children saw where the lifeboat was stationed. Afterwards they enjoyed a play on the sand before lunch. Unfortunately, a rather large flock of seagulls took quite a fancy to our lunch but after seeking a quieter spot, we were able to finish our food before heading back to school.
