Boarders have fun at the Home Farm Festival support the charity School in a Bag
One of the best weekends of the year is Sports Day and the subsequent rounders and cricket matches against the parents. There is always a tremendous atmosphere and despite a little drizzle, this year did not disappoint.
On Sunday, after a fantastic chapel service by Mr Birch, the boarders were treated to a ‘Flight Simulation’ session in the Theatre. Any plane and airport of your choice provided the ultimate flying experience. Equipped with a co-pilot and an enormous screen, everyone had the opportunity to fly their own mission. The pool also provided much entertainment with some woggle games as did some 40:40 in the Woods.
In the afternoon, supporting the ‘School in a Bag’ charity we headed off to their annual musical festival, the ‘Home Farm Festival’. This was a marvellous afternoon. Torrential down pours, wellie boots and rock and roll….we were dancing in the rain. We all had great fun and came away buzzing after trying out all our different dance moves. The Birches will now be seen in a new light. Bouncy castle, dodgems, various stalls and lots of music tents, there was something for everyone.
