Year 2 Fire of London Workshop

The children of Year 2 enjoyed a fabulous Wednesday morning re-living the Great Fire of London!
Our journey was guided by our narrator Ben. He began by setting the scene of a fire riddled London. The children went on to imagine themselves living at the time by putting on costumes, being given one of the top ten names from the time and choosing a profession. They all established a story for their characters which enabled them to gather a real sense of life at that time. Ben helped the children develop their story ideas and we were then thrown into the panic of a city engulfed in flames!
It was a wonderful experience enjoyed by all the children and staff.
