Year 2 are Hopeful for their Sunflower Seedlings
We met an enormous, unfriendly, nasty crocodile this week who lived in a swamp in Africa.
He played some ‘clever tricks’ on some unsuspecting children. However, the clever children in Year 2 had some tricks of their own! They devised a range of plans that would definitely scare the crocodile away and make him think twice before eating any children at Hazlegrove.
As we have learnt so much about plants over the years at Hazlegrove we decided to experiment with the conditions we would provide for the seeds we planted. We all helped to plant sunflower seeds. Each pot will be kept in different conditions. The children all predicted the outcome of these different conditions. They cannot wait to see if their predictions are right. We will see what the next few weeks bring!
As this glorious spring weather continues, please can the children have all their kit in school. Hopefully, that will encourage the sun to shine on the playground and we will have little need for it! Have a great bank holiday weekend.
