A Fun-Packed Week For Year 1
What’s the time Mr Wolf? ‘It’s half past ten!’, replied the Year 1 children as we revisited time in our Maths lessons this week.
However, this very quickly turned into Year 1 asking, ‘Where are you Mr Wolf?’, creating wanted posters to track down that very naughty Wolf after he fled from the brick house.
Year 1 had very important agenda, find the Wolf and so that he can write a letter of apology to the pigs for all he has done. Whilst the adverts were produced, Year 1 had a go at writing letters on the Wolf’s behalf (just in case!) Continuing our deep dive into the story, we experimented just how much puff the wolf might have needed to blow down those houses. Creating houses from sticks, straw and bricks and a fan to stimulate the breath of a big bad wolf, we huffed and we puffed! A week of big to do’s and lots of learning calls for a well-earned rest as we approach the holiday. Well done Year 1!
