What a wonderful week we have had!
In Monday morning’s assembly, we welcomed Jill from Save the Children into school to present her with a cheque for a staggering £951.05 which was raised on our Festive Friday before Christmas! Jill was extremely grateful for our donation and talked to the children about how it would improve the lives of children in the UK and around the world. Thank you again to the whole Pre-Prep community, especially the Friends of Hazlegrove, for helping us raise so much money for this worthy charity!
On Thursday, the Pre-Prep was transformed into a magical world with storybook characters galore as we celebrated World Book Day! Everyone had been very creative and it was exciting to see so many favourite characters from much-loved stories, including disco fruit, Matilda, the Highway Rat, and many more!
We were incredibly lucky to share World Book Day with the talented author, Hannah Thomas, who visited us in school to share her beautiful book “Archie’s Apple” with us. The children loved listening to the story and asking Hannah questions about being a real-life author!
