A Wonderful Start to Spring Term for Year 1

Ready to blast off into the Spring term, Year 1 has absolutely loved being back in School and getting to learn the first little bits about our new topic, Space.

We have enjoyed spending time in our new in-class Space Station, dressing up as astronauts and planet spotting. As well as having a go in English at listening to some alien poetry and writing some short poems of our own! Whilst we have spent time in our PSHE Jigsaw lessons, thinking about our new topic ‘Dreams and Goals’. Each child in Year 1 set themselves the challenge to create their own treasure chest and a new goal that they aim to achieve in the upcoming weeks. Starting as we mean to go on, we have had a great first week back!
