Reception Have Been Feeling Very Christmassy
Festive cheer has been in abundance in the Reception class this week.
Our tummies enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch on Tuesday, with an amazing roast, crackers and chocolate brownie Christmas trees! In class, we have been creating Christmas cards and using the designs we made last week to create vehicles for Father Christmas to travel up the Roly-Poly mountain. On Monday we learned about Hannukah and the children created their own menorahs. They learned about the importance of the Shammash candle and thought about how they could spread their light to others over the Christmas period. As always, the children amazed us with their sensitive and thoughtful ideas.
It has been truly wonderful to see how much the children have grown in confidence and independence this term and we cannot wait to welcome them back in January. Have a very happy Christmas.
