Today, Year 1 Had Not One but Three Special Visitors!
A very squawky Winston, the barn owl, tiny Eddie, the tropical screech owl and Plop, the baby barn owl, flew in to visit the children.
We had a chance to hold the feathery owls, ask all of our questions and watch them silently fly around the classroom. Winston was a “hoot” as he flew around the classroom after morsels of chicken and even landed on the c-touch screen! Owls are under threat, so Alan from Pitcombe Falconry is always on the lookout for big gardens with strong trees to put up owl boxes.
