Nursery Enjoyed Their Trip To The Newt
The children chattered away on the minibus on their way to The Newt, all excited for the morning ahead of them. Mrs Benbow, Miss Ellis and Mrs Dawson could hear the wonderful sounds of the children so eager to share their experiences and news from the weekend.
As we walked up on the wooden path, lined by tall trees, the children talked about all the things they noticed and talked about what they might see. The children were given a large map, where they could plan the route for the morning’s events. As they stood around the fire pit, they each shared their view on which direction to take first.
It was decided that they would look at how many apples were growing and drop sticks, leaves, and shells in the water. They watched them travel slowly through the trickling water and investigated where they ended.
The next place for the little explorers was the veggie patch. But first, they went through an arch of the most amazing shapes, colours, patterns and sizes of gourds.
From the most stunning grotto made of shells and coral, the children finished the morning and gathered on the steps of the secret garden to eat yummy ice cream!
