A morning filled with fun and laughter for the Pre-Prep Activity Morning and Teddy Bears' Picnic

On Saturday the Pre-Prep took on a festival atmosphere with bunting strung up around the playground and activities aplenty for the inaugural Pre-Prep Activity Morning and Teddy Bears' Picnic.  

After a damp start, the rain clouds dispersed and the whole of the Pre-Prep came to life with parents, both current and prospective, wandering around with their children racing from one activity to another - Forest School, tennis, music, art and drama, plus sing and dance for the little ones.  The old hands relished a chance to do their favourite activities on a Saturday morning and the new children were given a taster of life in the Pre-Prep.  In addition there were several games to try a hand at (ably run by some helpful Year 8s), plenty of outdoor toys to play with, a clay modelling table, craft corner and the ever-popular face painting.

Reminiscent of World Book Day, smartly-dressed teddies were entered into the competition for best-dressed teddy as a character in a story book, with Lydia H, Felix T, Florence H and Genevieve G each winning a coveted Hazlegrove teddy as a prize.  As the activities came to an end, families spread out their picnic rugs and enjoyed lunch in the sunshine while the children raced about.  All in all a fun-filled and action-packed morning.

"The girls had a fabulous time in their chosen activities and then were kept busy with the various games and face painting whilst we enjoyed a cup of coffee and a chat with friends.  The atmosphere of the whole morning was full of fun and laughter.  It was an added bonus that the sun shone for the picnic.  What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends.”
