Nursery learn about racehorses at Ditcheat Stables

The Nursery children were extremely lucky to spend a morning at Ditcheat Stables. Mrs Nicholls and Zara were wonderful hosts. Zara even demonstrated how to trot on her pony Oakey and all the children helped groom him, he was very patient.

Next we looked at the horses food and took home bags of horse nuts and chaff. Some of the horses were huge and the children stroked Mr Dinosaur. They were very fortunate to have their photo taken wearing jockey silks and all took home their own horse shoe to keep.
