Nursery Prepare and Make Vegetable Soup

This week, Nursery have been learning about Harvest, through a firm favourite character - 'Tractor Ted'.

We looked at all the different farm machinery that is used to harvest the crops and discussed how the foods travel from the fields to our shops and plates. The children explored different fruits and vegetables through a range of sensory experiences, including planting them in soil, cleaning them in the water tray, using them to paint and finally purchasing them from our Nursery farm shop and then chopping them up to make a delicious soup

We have also been reading the story of the 'Little Red Hen', the children have enjoyed joining in with key parts of the story and have been working together on the playdough table to bake their own Autumnal pizzas.

We were so proud of all the Nursery children as they performed on stage for the first time, full of confidence and smiles! Well done everybody!
