A Miracle in Town
What a delight – the Pre-Prep children produced an outstanding performance of ‘A Miracle in Town’ to a theatre packed with family and friends.
The scene was set with some music from the recorder group and a particularly impressive display by the percussion group with the hand chimes, co-ordinating with each other to play Away in a Manger and Silent Night. Then the play started – a traditional telling of the story of the Nativity with some humorous moments including when the camels explained how important their job was to provide the transport for the Kings! There were brilliant performances all round whether speaking, acting, singing or dancing – the children clearly enjoying the lively nature of the songs.
Earlier in the day, the Nursery had their turn to perform their tableau in the familiar surroundings of the Pre-Prep front hall. Equally delightfully, these very young children took us through their version of Christmas story with Mary and Joseph, Kings, shepherds and of course lots of angels.
The Nursery Tableau and the Nativity Play are always very special events in the Hazlegrove Pre-Prep calendar. They herald the impending end of term and get everyone truly into the Christmas spirit.
