Boarders' lecture on the making of Private Peaceful

Our Winter Lecture Season kicked off on Wednesday when Hollywood came to Hazlegrove! Guy de Beaujeu, the film producer of Private Peaceful, an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's novel, came to speak to us about the film world and the film itself. It was a fascinating talk and the children leaned a huge amount about the intricacies of producing a film and the challenges production teams face. Special effects, casting and the level of detail were all explained. We also saw several clips of the film.

The talk concluded with a question and answer session. As ever the Hazlegrove boarders did us proud with a sea of pertinent questions.
