Boarders Enjoy Splashdown Waterpark
Following a hearty full English breakfast in school, Hazlegrove boarders enjoyed a fun Sunday out at Splashdown Waterpark in Poole, Dorset.
Splashdown is home to 13 thrilling indoor and outdoor flume rides, which all the pupils were excited to experience. Both the first timers and seasoned veterans of Splashdown alike made the most of all the water-based activities on offer throughout the morning. The Infinity slide was a firm favourite with its fast, flashing light flume leading to a huge bowl which then plunged into a 2 metre drop to the water below. Dragons Lair and Mississippi Drifter were also amongst the most popular rides! After an energetic session, pupils had worked up an appetite and devoured their packed lunch outside the venue, partially hampered by several hungry seagulls. On returning to school, the boarders wrote letters to their nearest and dearest, followed by a reflective and enlightening chapel with Rev Bev. After a long day, pupils enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast dinner and retired to their boarding houses to rest ahead of another full Hazlegrove week. A fun day was had by all!
