Dorset Adventure Park: A Splashy Day!

Our boarders embarked on an exhilarating adventure to the Dorset Adventure Park this weekend with Year 8 production songs and a Hazlegrove rendition of 'The Wheels on the Bus' filling the journey time en route. Clad in wetsuits and lifejackets, we received a thorough safety briefing before diving into action.

The challenge? Two inflatable obstacle courses spread across separate lakes. Adrenaline surged as we conquered the twists, turns and slippery slides. It was great to see so many examples of teamwork, with children helping each other across obstacles and back onto the course. Smiles and laughter filled the lakes as the bravest flew through the air off the end of the inflatable pillow. Even a few teachers managed to mysteriously end up in the water!

Post-adventure, we swapped wetsuits for packed lunches and devoured them in a lovely picnic spot. Back at school, we penned letters home, reflecting on an exciting week of Hazlegrove life before winding down and enjoying the Hazlegrove grounds. 

To cap it off, Mrs Hughes led a lovely chapel service - a fitting end to a day of thrills and camaraderie.
