Welcoming Home Our Hazlegrove Boarders

A school can be a very eerie place without the children!

Last week was filled with INSET and training, so we, as staff, couldn’t wait to have the children back. We were greeted with glorious sunshine for the first afternoon back! When 4 o’clock came, the sound of cars coming up the drive and bags being wheeled meant that Hazlegrove was coming to life again. Old friends were getting reacquainted, parents were chitter-chattering, and the buzz was back! So many new faces were fitting in as if they had always been here. After a hearty supper, the school was full of activity: children riding bikes, playing touch rugby, manhunt, and football were a few of the activities that were put on. Hazlegrove boarding truly is the heart of the school, where shared experiences and lifelong friendships are made. What a great first night back!
